Siblings

Very often I feel like a mum to four separate children rather than four siblings - which is probably how it should be in many ways... but I do wish they were a bit closer. Obviously the twins are, from birth they were happiest close together most some of the time.

 I LOVE that photo.

The twins are incredibly close, but increasingly more often than not they are argumentative and surprisingly physical with each other. I'm told this is pretty normal with fraternal twins though, and thankfully it's usually squabbling over something trivial which I wrote about a while back.

We've tried to get them together for a photo before now, it used to end up like this:-

One or two cooperating...... the rest NOT. Like this....

But we have had a few successes, such as this:-

Undoubtedly though my favourite sibling photos are the unplanned, unexpected ones. Although pretty old now (my children are now 16, almost 12 and twins almost 8) these are some of my absolute favourites:-

  1. Oh it's so cute to see how all the siblings in your family have grown and changed. I think it's lovely seeing them interacting, whatever age. Thanks for linking up. x

  2. A lovely selection of shots - I always like the ones where one or tow are looking the wrong way or one is pulling a funny face when really we don't want them too - kind of sums up family life!

  3. Ah they are all lovely shots! I love the one of them walking off holding hands, that's a photo that I've got on my list for later in the year when my youngest can walk x

  4. Lovely photos - I really like the black and white photo of them altogether - they may not all be doing exactly what you had planned but they all look so happy and natural.

  10. My two are 14 months apart and fight constantly, well; they either hate each other or love each other. There is no middle ground. I adore all your pictures

  20. The constant bickering and fighting really gets to me. I keep telling myself it's a phase and when they're older they'll be the best of friends! I can but hope :)
