Viral Music

Born from the pandemic and restrictions on choral singing (on which my sanity depends!) "Viral Music" has become a source of great pleasure this year.

I am rather obsessed with choral music having sung in Anglican church choirs for years, with a necessary hiatus whilst parenting small children. I currently sing with our civic church choir at St Mary le Tower as a soprano and I am also a member of their Chamber Choir and a London based choir called St. Alphage Chorus. I earned my RSCM Gold Award in 2019and am hoping to get more involved in the RSCM in future. Devastated when rehearsals and services were suspended, I channeled my energies into "Viral Music".

"Viral Music" proved to be the springboard to much, much more.... and after a (very) widely shared post on the value of Cathedral Choirs I took on the social media and publicity for our church and it's music output. In the absence of our annual Grand Christmas Tree Festival, I offered to do a "virtual" Festival.... and another blog was born!
